Blue Tears Proposal Deck
Blue Tears is what the people of Matsu Island call bioluminescent algae. With plans to build a new ecology center on the island to bring in tourism during the off-seasons of the Blue Tears, the government reached out to me for ideas for an installation in the space. Inspired by Doug Aitken's cinematic installations, I proposed going on site to attempt to film the elusive bioluminescence. I mocked up a few installation renders in Cinema 4D, allowing the installation to be modular as the space was still under construction. Within weeks we were on a plane to the island to film the algae.
As of now, we are in post-production and are looking for more spaces to showcase the installation.
